I had done a lot of networking with Macs in the past - seems G3s had the same problem you are running into. Oftentimes enabling portfast will resolve the issue, but not always. I also found that switch platform doesn't matter 29xx, 35xx, 55xx, 65xx, etc.. I always found that locking down the
