their web browser. I'm not sure which site this was but we were running
proxy based firewall and I was surprised to see her using it.

first, issue a nslookup (on Xnix) or a ping -a (on Winxx) to find the ip
addresses, then use an ACL to block traffic to thoses IP @. My favorite is an
ACL on the inside interface, as I don't want to route packets I will discard
just after.
Should be something like :

The easiest way to block an ip address on your gateway router is to route to
null (i.e. ip route 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.255 Null). You can also compile
an access-list to block out a range of addresses (i.e. deny ip any
192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255).
It is up to you to decide which method is the best.
