Hi all,
as you already suspected, the #13 is the ifindex number. Actually I dont
know the principle how the ifIndex can be converted into the pysical port.
But I know an OID string, where you can ask the device to return the
physical port name to a given ifIndex.
So Bill, try to ask your 2900XL u

Not all of them have 24 ports, especially if he got an older used one. Who
knows why Cisco calls fa0/1 on his particular switch port 13? All I can say
is that there's some logic to it and it's something like I said previo

Bill,
Thank
I don't know your particular switch, but I bet it has 12 10BaseT ports and
2 100BaseT ports. The first 12 are 1-12; the Fast Ethernet ports are 13 and
14. It's something as simple as that and is described in your hand-dandy
Cisco product documentation.
