CCIE topics are well covered by now, and every candidate has a fair idea of
what to concentrate his sudies on.
However, reading through some of the posts on the 3550 and the speculations
The million dollar question. Do what every CCIE candidate did before you
and study it all. Not just because you don't know what is on the exam, but
because as a CCIE you will be expected to know it. Their are no shortcuts
on the road to the holy grail---don't waste your time looking for them.

hours reading just about every topic under the 3550. Needless to say, to
cover all in its entirety that would take a long time. Time which I would

Every person goes through the same exact thing you are. I had to deal with
it myself and it was the most frustrating part of the exam. I took it when
the 5000 was still in the mix so I can't help much. The only thing I would
suggest is cover all the major topics and know where on the CD to find
