The forward delay is the time the port takes to transit from listen to learn
or from learn to forward.
fwd-delay = llisten -> learn
or
fwd delay = learn-->forward .
default forward delay is 15 sec ,
which means the total time the switch spends in listening and learning is 30

I am confused with this concept --'priority', in STP ,
there are 'root priority' , 'root cost'-- in BPDU message,
'port priority', 'port cost' -- which can be configured
by set command ,do they have relationship in value ???

My guess would be because the 5500 and 6500 are switches, not routers.

which cisco router
Because the 5500 and 6500 are SWITCHES that support
multilayer switching, not ROUTERS.
