RP1 is really slow compared to the RP2 but
really fast against the Sup720, RSP720 or NPE-G2
A comparison against other RPs and actual benchmarks
would be helpful.

I've got two 3560s forming the 'core' at a client site. They've
requested a VPN tunnel between the datacenter and the corp office for
easier access to their production environment by the dev team.
They've purchased a single Cisco 1921, so my question is how to best

Hello list-
I appreciate your help with the following two questions.
Cisco IOS Software, 3800 Software (C3845-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version

Run an IGP between the 3560s and the 1921, have the 1921 announce a loopback

We have some 7201's in the edge that could have been changed
to ASR1001's, but this 512,000 FIB entry limitation is a
real PITA.
Can you provide a source for this information please? To my knowledge this
is not true as the 1001 has the Intel RP1.5...

Is there a reason you are using URL filter and not wccp?
Not if it will make a difference for CPU but it could be worth a try.
