We are now back to our slip on Kent Island. We're headed to Rock Hall this
weekend and hopefully Saint Michael's for Thanksgiving.
BTW - I am now on the BOD for the club and CRYC would not be averse to hosting
a CC get-together.

Well, someone else put some work into the interior then, as I see there are
lots of extra storage spaces, and the pilot berths were modified somewhat.
The Electrical was updated, breakers installed and moved from the top of the
stairs to the front of the chart table. The cushions and primary
That would be a no-brainer for me. All the way from St. Michaels.

I used a scrub brush, dish washing detergent, and elbow grease on mine.
Hose it out and repeat.
This was followed by a dilute fill of water and bleach.
There had been a layer of grey mildew slimey stuff all over the inside when I
bought the boat.

For water tank cleaning I like a strong bleach solution, say 1/2 cup
to gallon of warm water (125mL - 4 Litres).
* pour solution into tank and swish/rub all surfaces with cloth or brush
* let soak 5 - 10 minutes and repeat a number of times (while
doing other things)
* remove bleach

Run the bleach water into the lines. Leave it for a few days. Remove the
aerators and flush. I still don't drink it!

Hi Dwight,
I still have hand pumps, no pressure system, so I

I wonder how many people use water from the boats storage tanks as potable
water versus carrying bottle water for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth.

Dwight,
You wondered how many folks use their on board tanks for potable water.
I say almost 100% of all cruisers. Anything else is just impractical.
And like Rich says, there are lots of ways to make the water taste better.

Sounds like someone got busy with 5200...
See if you can work a box cutter knife blade in, if you can then work it
around gradually, while keeping upward pressure on the frame.
Another trick is to get a steel wire in - like a guitar string. And
then work it around the perimeter.
