Some years ago the Admiral surprised me with a duffel made by our local
loft. She had them trim the bag with red/blue/red stripes to mimic a CC
bootstripe.

In my personal experience, I would STRONGLY advise against rebedding your
keel in epoxy.
In the spring of 2013, while exiting the channel from the Yacht Club into
Lake Ontario my 29-2 hit a lump of sand that a dredging contractor had

Are the set-screws doubled up? Maybe that's the problem. I discoverd that

When I lost the hard drive on my laptop, I lost a lot of files - including a
wish list for books. I'm trying to recreate a portion of the list before the
local libraries have their annual sales of donated books.
One of the books on my list was an old fiction about an Americas Cup

Mine was done with epoxy. It's easier to break loose, if necessary, than 5200.
The joint was finished with a layer of fiberglass cloth. No leaks, and you
can't even see the joint.

Congrats Dave. Looks like everything worked out well. I find it strange that
anyone would use epoxy to seal the keel joint. When mine was replaced the yard
used 3M 5200…lots of it. They probably used two or three large tubes of it.
The boat sat for a day or two before they finally torqued
Spencer,
The cap on the rudder should unscrew very easily. Mine spins easily once
the set screws are removed. It shouldn't need a wrench at all. If you
haven't lifted the rudder slightly to take the pressure off the donut, that
could be the cause.

I thought I would let the list know about this experience and hopefully make
most of you jealous. I donated some sails to Seabags last fall and for that
get a free bag in return. I saw that they had some boat brand specific bags
for sale, but none from CC. I talked to Carrie Fletcher about
Hi Rich,
Things are evolving with respect to the City of Kingston reaching out to
help the Marine Museum, even if the city does not directly acquire the
land. However, that motion has to go before Council on the 27th, I believe.
