Hi Jim
What is the pedigree of that chart? It looks hand drawn. Any idea what
jib it assumes, or what wind speed one changes jib size? The spinnaker
after 120 true is clear.

Advice fro the 37+ Owner's Manual. The third paragraph applies I think as
both wind speed and angle are included:

Select a day with a steady 8 to 12 knot breeze and reasonably flat sea. Put
the boat on
starboard tack, close hauled. Sight up the luff groove of the mast.
Watch the video. If you've been waffling about buying a new VHF radio with
an audible marine weather alert, the video will convince you to place the
order.
If there was only one electronic item I could have on Touche', it would be

Hi Russ,
I don’t know if sardines eat corn chips, but I love a good ceremony! After
this incident, I was very suspicious of the moon jellies when we were anchored
in Prideaux Haven. They looked very suicidal! Do they go for corn chips as
well? Thanks for confirming this crazy behavior. It
The storms never look as bad on video they do in reality. Unless one has been
in a 60 knot storm seeing the spume on the horizon coming, it will not garnish
the respect that storm deserves.
I've been in such a prairie thunderstorm on Lake Winnipeg but the sustained
winds were only 10 minutes.
We had our CC out on the bay for DI Race. We had already finished the race
and were headed back to Fairhope, just south of Middle Bay Light, when the
storm hit. It was a tremendous. It struck quickly and winds were sustained
36-58+ knots for about 30 minutes. Naturally we had all our sails up and
