That was brolek on Pegasus. I had a machinists make a new one out of some

Hi, Bob — the EV-100 includes the rudder reference transducer; they’re packaged
with all of the Evolution course computers now.

Does the EV-100 wheel pilot system require a rudder reference system?
Raymarine sells those for about $250.

Eric, That is a Delton or some other material spacer which acts as
bushing to protect top of rudder shaft tube. No problem but looks like you
might want to replace. They wear. Hope to see you in Pentwater this summer.

After looking at the rudder post coming up through the cockpit floor today,
I think I confused the donut with what is broken on Cat’s Paw. It appears that
what is broken is below the donut that is being discussed. It’s right down on
the cockpit floor. What is it and what should I do about it?
I recently replace the WC Headmate with the JABSCO. I was able to fit in
the larger bowl model too. One of the advertised features of the JABSCO
purportedly allows the pump handle to be rotated to prevent the backflow
from a worn joker valve. The other selling factor for me was the

Nope, no story, that's how she came, severely neglected and left to rot and
die in the mangroves of the Matanzas Pass back bay..one chunk of blade
did pop off while I was initially decrusting her, which was a monumental
task, being how said bay happens to be worst place Ever , according to
Justin,
All of the Corvettes that still have the Atomic four have a 7/8” shaft.
Here is a link to the association if you don’t already know about them, you
might even be able to get a used prop off of a member.

BTW, there has got to be a story
There is 1/3 of a blade , 1/4 of a blade , and 2/3 of a blade, what does
that make, an eggbeater ?? ;)

Hi Justin,
My original A4 shaft size was 7/8".
I up-sized to 1" with the changed to diesel using the same old
stuffing box & strut (with new C/bearing).
OTOH, a two blade prop is more efficient and a single blade is even
more efficient than two. :)

If the collar came off, the quadrant would *Probably* keep if from falling
through, but if it wasn’t cinched up tight on your shaft, it could slip. The
Donut is like the thrust bearing which adjust the height & clearances, and
without it the quadrant would be scrubbing on the top of the tube.
I'm looking into this now, so I'll let you know what I find. Hope to figure
something out by end of week.
Your rudder probably won't fall out if the shaft collar breaks off (the
quadrant or radial drive will hold it) but that would still be a bad thing
- the radial drive would probably fall a few
Can anyone verify for me what the shaft size would be, possibly 7/8 ?? It's
direct drive of course I need to know so I can survey my options for a
used prop, my 3 blade is missing blades and needs replacement

Thanks, everyone! I ended up picking up a Jabsco joker valve last night

as far as I can tell, the different manufacturers' 3 inch valves seems to

I’ve been watching this saga with some interest. Last spring I noticed that
the “donut” on my 35 MkII was cracked in several places, but was told on this
list that the rudder would not fall off so it wasn’t critical to replace it
right away. The donut on Cat’s Paw will be easy to remove
Hi,
I have had a C Headmate on my 29-1 and I had to rebuild the pump several
times. I now have a Jabsco head on my LF38. The quality and functionality is
much better.
The West Marine head actually looks like a rebranding of the Jabsco head. WM
lists the Jabsco head for $209. If you
