Listers- My C&C 30 Owner's Manual says "DO NOT expose a spar wrapped in plastic to direct sunlight." Does anyone know the rationale for this precaution? Was the worry that a brand-new spar for a brand-new C&C boat might be wrapped in thin plastic film that would melt in direct sunlight or some

I used this Ferro Stripe Eliminator Kit #4000 : 4000 : Noahsmarine.com . It worked but I consumed an entire wheel just doing 80% of one side. The 3M version probably works better, but I haven't used it. I was able to blow the mylar off the other side with a 1900 PSI pressure washer, however it l

Parts of the Mylar will peel off like masking tape.  Other parts may require a curved Exacto model knife to remove the tape.  Try Goo Be Gone or 97% rubbing alcohol from the drug store to get the sticky parts off.  If all else fails, Acetone, used carefully, will get it off.  Cheers, Hank
