Hi, I've just ordered new hatches for my C 36, 1980 vintage. :-) The saloon hatch opening is 446mm by 320mm. A size 30 flat base hatch (such as Lewmar Ocean 30) should fit really well. FWIW, I ended up ordering these Bainbridge hatches:
