I used to own a 29 mk1 with the shallow draft keel sailed out of Oakville. When
I retired I moved my sailing to the North Channel a used Cradle Shop trailer
was purchased. The professional modifications did not match the hull as they
“forgot” that it was not the regular racing keel, sigh. All wa
Smile.
When the cabin or head doors do not work, you are bending the boat.
Some of the C&C boat manuals provided big cautions about gauge readings
redline!

I had a similar experience however after great confusion and frustration I
tracked the problems down. I have a tiller with a Raymarine ST2000 that
suggested that I needed to redesign my keel on the North Channel granite!
The two culprits?
1. VHF handheld on my waist belt.
2. a classic family
My two Barient 27 ST winches work very well, however the chrome on the drum
shows that! Has anyone been successful having winch drums re-chromed?
