VC-17 Is a unique bottom paint in that it contains Teflon, and it is
typically used in much thinner thickness than most other paints.
The Teflon tends to get embedded deep into the gelcoat. My last boat had
VC 17, I thought it was too expensive so I switched. The Micron CSC fell
off within weeks

Exhaust smoke; under load does it produce an elevated amount of black smoke
(overloaded)? White smoke that dissipates gradually (unburned fuel)?
White smoke that travels a few feet and vanishes (steam)?

The Yanmar pump is a Swedish made Johnson pump. I ordered some parts from
pumpvendor.com I don't think they were actual Johnson pump parts, but they
were inexpensive. Next year's maintenance will show whether or not it was
a good choice. Pump vendor sells complete Johnson pumps, maybe contact
