Your configuration sounds exactly like that as I have seen on 2 other C 30
Mark 1. I believe that is stock configuration.

Wet vacs are great. Especially on a boat. I use a Rigid Brand 18v cordless one
for the boat. Small and easily fits in a cockpit locker on our 30. Especially
helpful this year when I was rewiring and the bilge pump wasn't connected.
It's ability to also blow air, works great when winterizing

find a easy way to match-ish the gelcoat.
I was wondering about using a mini paint scanner and converting the RGB output
to gelcoat/paint data.
It would obviously need to be adjusted manually by eye when applied
Awhile back there was a list discussion on where to buy Bed-it Butyl Tape.
As mentioned at that time, sailboatowners.com has worked with Rod to get it
made again after Rod had a stroke.
They now have it in stock and ships in 1 business day.

Hi Randy,
Good news..
I was just organizing my spring task lists and found the measurements in my
notes.
My boat is a 1978 30 Mark 1.
Masthead Sheaves are for both wire and rope:
Material: Aluminum with bronze bushing
7/16" I.D. (bolt/shaft hole not the bushing hole)
9/16" Wide x 3.5"
Randy,.
Forgot to mention. The original C masthead sheaves are aluminum with bronze
bushings. Basically bulletproof and superior to modern plastic ones.
They likely just need cleaning and lubrication.
That said, some people have concerns that the dual groove design causing
premature wear
"The original sheaves were grooved for wire/rope halyards. I’m replacing my
original halyards with all-rope Novabraid Argus,"
Randy,
The original masthead sheaves on my 78 30 mk1, handle both wire AND rope.
Same with the other C of the same age in our marina who switched to rope
halyards
Thanks Paul. I have ordered some and will compare it.

Dicor Butyl tape... Thanks for the info! I may just try it, even though I will
get Bed-It when available.

Life safe butyl is not the same quality as bed it.
windshield tape isn't the same idea as normal butyl which is meant to be formed
into whatever shape you want. (at least when I installed windshields 4 or 5
years ago)
Bed-It Tape:
Rod aka "Mainesail" is the guy who developed it along with another company.
He survived a stroke last year. He closed down but is now it starting to have
it made again.
The factory he had custom making it is backlogged with other clients.
A production run is in the queue.

Any ideas where to find one that will fit reasonably well?
They said that have been looking at a ton of bar sinks and have yet to find one
that will fit.
Thanks on behalf of another owner.

The fiberglass can compress of course.

Yup. That is the usual way. Using a self tapping screw is similar.
Thanks!

Awesome info Nathan.
Yeah. 2 runs of coax with the connectors already installed will make it tight.
LMR400 is already 1/2" I had not considered running 2 conduit up the mast. Hmm.
I was hoping to run a single one at the front and drill holes into the conduit
where the Steaming and deck light

Cell booster antenna with coax of some unknown size... Likely some other large
low loss cable like LMR400

Why undersize it when it costs virtually the same and takes

New shipments are going out this month. I ordered 2 rolls to make sure I don't
run out again.
