Joe, When you burn Freon using propane, you produce Fozgene(sp) gas, which
extremely deadly. Not sure if it the same with alcohol but would imagine it is.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the outboard with an internal fuel tank are
gravity fed. You would most likely need a fuel pump of some sort. With no
battery the could be difficult to rig. As for the other option "spill proof"
gas can. I tend to spill more fuel with them than to old style. I like

I have to agree with you Dennis. I have a 2.5k inverter/charger I would love to
get rid of. It's big and I don't like the way it's wired into my boat. I had a
fault while out cruising earlier this month, that rendered the whole unit us

The "tugging" was most likely there. You didn't notice it far a couple of
reasons.1. With the rudder going back in, the shaft was lubed, and moves freely
now.2. After all the work that was done. You are more critical as to the
steering.3. Under power the prop blades will cause the water to

Richard,If the Rotella oil has the same rating required by your manual, you
should be covered. Just dont use oil that is for a gas engine. I did this in an

FWIW. On my LF39 I have 3 stainless 7/16x2 inch 4 ft long chain plates in each
side. These drop down into the hull and are bolted with 1/2in bolts to frame
members. I'm not sure they are original, as the boat was upgraded many years
ago for extended blue water cruising, or maybe racing. I'm not
