I always found that pressure washing sufficed, especially if the operator was attentive, and any remaining bits easily wiped off in the spring with a scotchbrite pad.  I had our C&C 27 MKIII in Chicago for 15 years with VC17, and gave it a fresh coat every year.  YMMV, Bruce Whitmore (847)

We have the bottom cleaned when the boat's hauled fornthe season. I never know exactly when it'll be hauled until I getbthe email. Bybthe time I hear, the boat's been out ofne water for a day or two. By the time I get to see the boat, anything on the bottom is dried out. So, I pay the $4/foot. E
