I’m considering the idea of spray-painting my bottom paint this season with my
usual Petit
The guy that does Touche's bottom paint always sprays it. I use Balto
Plate. He also sprayed on some barrier coat a few years ago.
He does excellent work. All he does is bottom work and topside painting.

the paint when it dries and cures, which is critical to how it works.
Not thinning it at all is optimum, but most thin it SLIGHTLY to make it
easier to rol
I think lots of yards would require a tent to be able to spray. Seems it
would create a lot of time cleaning up between coats, and will take several
times more coats to get a good level of protection.

about wasting paint, accidentally painting the topsides,
