vertical Lofrans with the motor in the forward berth overhead. The chain drops
into the locker forward of the bulkhead. No problems after 13 years.

conclusion that that was a brilliant move. After some hard use, it
still works like new, because it has never been wet. I've had too many
conversations

If you need a windlass, and the size, really depends on how you plan to

I just installed a Lewmar V-2 vertical windlass on an Island Packet 37 on
the bowsprit. Probably not similar to your installation but just wanted to
say I was impressed with the design and quality of the Lewmar windlass.
