I did that with spray in foam on my 1981 40’. There seemed to be very little
insulation. I was very careful to spray and wait until it settled. That
stuff can exert some tremendous pressures and crack things…

I posted a bunch of photos when I upgraded the refrigerator in my LF38. I have
never gotten around to provide a detailed write up, but I am real pleased with
the outcome. I split the space into a small freezer and larger refrigerator.
It runs great and consumes about 25 AH a day in

When I installed refrigeration on Touche' (1971 35-1), I was curious about
the existing insulation. I removed the galley sink and cut a section of
the adjacent bulkhead away to inspect. The insulation was about 1 1/8 inch
thick. Here's a pic.
