This morning I had a white-winged dove fly across the street in front of me in
Delta and land on a house, where it posed for a couple photos. The house is
immediately west of the Delta County work release center, a couple blocks south
of Confluence Park. I suspect it roams the town with the d
On 5/10, I ventured out to Prewitt Reservoir in Washington county. Sorry for
the late post.
Bring your life preservers, or super high boots. The canal and lake are so full
that places near the road are full with water. Walking which I hardly do

My planned visit to Lamar was made extra special by being able to stop at Van’s

Even though this bird had a very distinctive look and was heard, it took guts
to announce a potential First State Record empid. Thanks to
This afternoon there was a male MOURNING WARBLER along the Big Thompson Bike

Hi Everyone--
I work in Gunbarrel, just outside Boulder. As I was walking out to my car
this evening 5/13, I heard a White-winged Dove singing, and tracked it down
to the top of a lamppost in an adjacent parking lot. It eventually flew down
to the pavement, picked up something, and flew to a near

Hi all,
Yesterday's Acadian Flycatcher at Van's grove (between Roads 17 & 18 on the
north side of Road JJ), east of Fort Lyon, in Bent County, was seen until 7pm
by 11 birders. Numerous photos were taken. The bird wasn't there today, as
far as I know.
Photos that I took of the bird can be
Hi COBirders,
Warm, calm, and quiet again. Not much was seen moving around (mostly
Bullock's Orioles, W Kingbirds, E Kingbirds, a few Swainson's Thrush,
and hummingbirds), and the pace was a little slow in capturing birds.
Pretty much dead by noon.
However, after a dearth of small birds
There was a Northern Waterthrush on the Turkey Creek side of Pelican
Point at Bear Creek Lake Park (BCLP) this morning. Things were
somewhat slow, but did see Common Yellowthroat, Yellow-rumped, and
Yellow Warblers along with Western Tanagers. Also had a FOS Gray
Catbird singing. Did not see

Hi all:
After a couple weeks of poor to non-existent internet (on the boat and at home)
and further computer problems, I've finally gotten around to posting the

Dear Cobirders,
Things were awfully quiet this morning at Warbler Woods, just below

After that tantalizing prediction of mine from Monday afternoon, I figure I owe

In a nutshell, there was a lot up there, as predicted, with the winds having
