In Hays, KS (sort of west in KS) on the evening of Aug 31 several KS
birders found 3-4 Pine Warblers at the KSU Ag station. On Sept. 1 they
found another one in Colby, KS (about 30 miles from Colorado) also at a
KSU Ag station. Combined with the Pine Warbler sightings reported from
eastern
Just realized the Parula was the 8th warbler species of the day,
yesterday. New single-day warbler high for the county. Much better
migrant activity than last fall. Lots of Townsend's.

Today at 12:15 pm Diana King, Tim Smart, and I spotted the previously reported
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher at Van Bibber Park, Arvada. The GPS location follows:
Latitude: N39° 47' 53.2
Longitude: W105° 08' 59.7
Altitude: 5541'

Different group of birds at Bear Creek Lake Park (BCLP) this morning.
I walked the same circular route as yesterday from Pelican Point along
the lake edge to the inlet where Bear Creek enters the lake and back
to Fitness Station #1. Highlight of the day was a good, but

When I walked my dog this evening in the old Western Bible Institute
property (north of Belleview off Fox Hills Road, which is near the Red
Rocks Country Club in Willow Springs ), I observed two Lewis's
