My route to work was Hwy 85 to Ault and across to Fort Collins. Between Nunn and Ault HUGE flocks of Horned Larks line the road. I stopped for one flock saw 5 Chestnut-collareds and 4 McCown's among hundreds of Horned Larks. Didn't have time to stop every 5 minutes with new flocks appearing ...

Right at Overland Park Pond (corner of Florida Avenue and the Platte River), I had a Peregrine Falcon at about 6 PM tonight.  The Falcon was up in the Cottonwood trees just south of the pond. Sage Thrashers were mixing with Robins south (about 50 to 100 yards) of the pond on the bike trail.

It was a chilly, calm day after the storm today in Huerfano County. With 12-15 inches of fresh snow on the ground decided it would be a great day to bird. Went to Wahatoya/Daigre Lakes, Lathrop State Park then ended up at La Veta Town Lakes. There were a few shorebirds, several large mixed flocks
