Birders,
The Cattle Egret at Barr Lake continues by the bridge to the boat ramp. It
is very tame and came within several feet of some people. Hope it gets out
before the change in the weather.

What's wrong for Atlantic Brant? Granted I have not seen much in the way of
solid field marks to pick out this odd Melville Island/Puget
Sound/'dark-bellied'/intermediate Brant, I am curious how this bird differs
from a typical east coast bird.Melville Island is one of two major

I visited a couple of spots yesterday, and I am writing to report NO jaeger

FYI, a Little Gull was seen again by two observers at about 10 a.m. on the
west side of Terry Lake (Boulder County), toward the north end. It was last
seen flying back east over Terry Lake.

Here are 4 photos few from today: http://bit.ly/170JMgL.
I had trouble finding Houts Reservoir from its east side, crowded with
office buildings and apartments, but discovered an easier way from its west
side. Exit 257 on I-25, then go west on highway 34 to Boyd Lake Avenue,
turn right or
Chris Knight and I got over to the South Shore Marina tires at Pueblo

Greetings all,
Today in the town of Ovid there was an Evening Grosbeak and Varied Thrush along
the creek that runs along the east side of town. The Thrush would move from the
creek 2 yards in the town itself. On the Logan County side of jumbo reservoir
there were four Red-necked Grebes.

this afternoon, it was a great day for bird watching there, many hawks (red
tailed and ferrigunous) and northern harriers riding thermals in a large
group, etc. Bill Maynard was there at the same time.

Sorry for the late report.
I wanted to see what birds were using Pawnee's Crow Valley in the late fall
so I paid a visit. A very vocal Cassin's Finch was present at the
campground on Saturday morning. The call that it gave sounded to me a like
hiccup with musical tones. Only
