This morning at Sinton Pond, El Paso County, I saw the *Blackpoll Warbler*
and the *Baltimore Oriole* on the northeast side of the pond. I went back
there this evening for 2 hours at 5:00, and saw the Baltimore Oriole as
well as the *Worm-eating Warbler* in the small thickets in the southwest

The Blue-winged Warbler was seen again in the early afternoon today by myself and two other birders. It was found in the same area that Mark C. found it yesterday. This is along the far eastern fence above the creek. It seemed to come from the private land to the east of the fence. This is also ab
This morning, Bayard and I had a brilliant singing male Northern Parula at
8100 ft along Willow Creek in the Baca Grande near Crestone, Saguache
County.
It was accompanied by a Virginia's Warbler, 5 Yellow-rumped (Audubon's) and
a Warbling Vireo.

The most interesting thing about today was the number of one-of-a-kinds.
Only banded 14, yet had 10 species, 8 of which were warblers:
House Wrens 5
Gray Catbird 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Yellow Warbler 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's) 1 (FOS, surprisingly. We've seen flocks

Came home from an enjoyable birding trip at Chico. Tired, and just wanted
to stay home. Our daughter, Sarah, wanted to go running, and she likes to
go to Clear Springs Ranch to do this. I didn't want to go, I was tired.
Changed my mind and went down with the family to visit Clear Springs Ranch.

Hi COBirders,
I had a steady, if low volume, flow of migrants working their way up Fountain
Creek this morning. Many 1’s and 2’s of small birds moving through the
treetops. Coolest was a Cassin’s Vireo from about 20’ for 5 minutes, giving
VERY good looks while hunting for moths in the top of a
Hello all,
I will be travelling to Guatemala in November (not a birding trip). I am
looking for an inexpensive field guide either in print or an app for my tablet
that I can begin looking at to familiarize myself with the birds outside of
Guatemala City. I will be up in the mountains. Can any
Early this morning I swung through Chatfield SP with the kiddo to see the
flooding on "her beach" and relocated the Cattle Egret that was reported to
eBird yesterday (I don't think it was posted here). Anyway, the bird was
feeding on the side of the road by the flooded fields west of Kingfisher

George Region in the southeastern part of the county and the large
reservoirs of South Park, with the afternoon birding shortened by rain
showers. Some of the breeding migrants are back or pushing through.

Around 12:30 this afternoon, I found the Lewis' Woodpecker reported by David
Waltman on 3/7 and 4/9. It was on a utility pole between two green sheds about
100 yds east of the road at 8922 N 39th. After a couple of minutes, it flew to
the backyard of house directly south. I spent another 20 min
