All,
I was on my fairly normal Monday work run around and stopped at Windsor
Lake for a brief moment. Gulls and geese everywhere. There were thousands
of geese. Many Cacklers but mostly Canadas. 1 Snow x Canada hybrid. I
re-found the Long-tailed Duck and the female Barrow's Goldeneye. I
Lucky you!
A bunch of us were there around 2:30, and only saw the Yellow-throated (along
with a Yellow-rumped, a Chickadee, a House Finch and a Flicker). The PRWA may
have shown up after I left at 2:45.
i’ll be back in the morning!

I helped park volunteers at the park with their annual bird count. Last
years count was during a blizzard on coldest day of the year, this year it
was nice day a bit breezy but high in the 50s so it was 60+ degrees warmer
than last year! From
Both rare warblers seen moving around pines in the previously specified
apartment location. Didn’t take long to find both in the same area. Last seen
as of 4:25 pm or so.

One seen at noon by Willow Creek “reservoir” just east of South Holly St. and
Easter Ave. in Centennial. It was in a long-needled pine by a parking area for
South Suburban Open Space.
Willow lake as shown on MapQuest has no water.

Folks- Yesterday saw the 76th running of the Boulder Christmas Bird Count.
We fielded 32 teams who for now have reported 108 species for the day (plus
3 count-week additions.) There are a few teams that I haven't heard back
from yet so I'm still hoping a CW species or two might upgrade to

Hope you don't mind me posting here, but I am looking to join anyone who
will be out birding Dec 24-27 in the Breckenridge area/Summit County or

The Yellow-throated and Prairie warblers were present this morning on the

with the 2 Audubon's yellow-rumpeds. Say's phoebe still around. The

Hi folks, the Prairie, yellow throated, and yellow-rumped warblers are still
present at 1 Belmar place in Lakewood. However, a frisky foursome of squirrels
is also presenting a bit of a distraction.

Hi all,
If want to see the warblers in Pueblo, do it fast. Arctic air coming
starting Thursday, likely some of these warblers won't be there much longer.

Greetings All
Sorry for the couple day delay.
On Friday, 15 December, I left my home just after midnight to arrive just
before 6 am at Cottonwood Canyon. The weather forecast was correct about snow
(< 1 inch) but wrong about temp (10F) and wind (none, at all).
