CObirders,
About 3:30 pm today, I saw a Swainson"s Hawk sitting on a road sign along
highway 36 (Boulder-Denver turnpike) west just south of where Foothills
Highway (157) north takes off from Hwy. 36! It was so exciting because the
bird was literally at eye-level for me.

Hi All,
A few friends and I went up the NE Colorado today, spending most of our
time at Prewitt Reservoir and Jackson Lake. We had a pretty good assortment
of birds, with some notable highlights. I am going to give a quick trip
report and link the eBird checklists from each spot we birded.

Yesterday afternoon (3/19), I opened my door to one singing in the top of a
neighbors' cottonwood (Centennial, Arapahoe County). My first of the
season, as well.

When I opened my garage door to head out birding this morning, I heard a Say’s
Phoebe singing down the street. The bird was at a house where it has held
territory for many years now. A short time later, along Boulder Creel near 75th
Street, another Say’s was singing on a territory also held for
Went birding on Saturday 3.20.21 & lost a rubber-banded pack of trifolds.

Hi Cobirders
I saw a pair of American Dippers in Clear Creek at Lowell Blvd. They were
near each other. One was carrying material to the nest hole in the
retaining wall on the S. side of the creek. I also saw the pair on March
12. Dippers raised young at this location last year and in 2012.I

COBirders,
I would like to echo Libby's request. The salmonella outbreak was bad (+/-15%

Hello
I have heard from a few sources that there is a salmonella outbreak in Idaho
and Utah with bird die offs. What, if any, news is there about Colorado birds
and what is recommended to do about this to keep it spreading here?
Thanks
