I went up to Red Rocks today, due to Mark Chavez's email earlier this week
looking for the Golden-crowned Sparrow at Red Rocks..
When I left my house an immature Bald Eagle flew over head from Bear Creek Lake
Park, heading north.
I threw some seed under the tree at the Trading Post and
The DFO trip to Red Rocks and Bear Creek Lake Park turned up the
Golden-crowned Sparrow and the Fox Sparrow (Slate-colored subsp.) at the
trading post feeders. The Peregrine Falcon pair at Ship Rock put on a food
exchange display. Sadly the Prairie Falcons seem to be missing from Cave
Rock this
Met Michael Kiessig at the Red Rocks Trading post feeders this
morning. He reported seeing both the Golden-crowned Sparrow and White-
throated Sparrow early this morning. Yesterday in early a.m. I saw
both the Harris's Sparrow and Curve-billed Thrasher at the feeders.
The pair of
Katrina Stowasser and I decided to go down to Red Rocks this morning to find
her a bunch of life birds. We then decided to work our way to Walden Ponds to
see the Tundra Swan that has been there for several weeks. Highlights include:

The Rosy Finches are at Red Rocks again this morning.
