Not a problem. Being able to use httpclient in HtmlUnit saved (and
continues to save) me a significant amount of time. It's
maximum size of 100, all these will go away. (the current setting is
still 80).
Whats left after that are things that can't be changed without possibly
breaking code that uses httpclient. Public or protected variables with
names that don't conform to the checkstyle rules.

I've added a second patch to the bug which fixes more checkstyle
warnings. I'm still not sure why the patches were being discarded from
my emails this morning so I'm just playing it safe and putting them in
bugzilla.

I propose that we change the pattern for instance variables to
^_?[a-z][a-zA-Z0-9]*$ so that we will allow leading underscores but will
not insist on it.
