You mention consensus and profits as a measure of failure...or soon to be failure of office 2007. I'm wondering when this will start since it's now 2009 and office sales are up over previous versions? I use google docs myself as I don't need a full office suite so I have no horse in this race.

Most of the organizations I have relations with ( University of Washington, Law offices, Design firms, etc ) either don't want to upgrade from Office 2003 or having upgraded, turned around and downgraded if they are allowed to. Although I live in Seattle, I live or work in the real world ..
