PM8 is NOT vista compatible. I tried and failed. Still works great on my XP
systems and so I keep it for that. I use Acronis and/or Paragon now, and they
are each fine, but PM was always my favourite in terms of ease

So any older partitioning utility will create partitions that fail to
boot -- so don't use those anymore. Fortunately,

Vista's repartition function isn't great though. I tried to diddle with the
partitions on the wife's laptop and was unable to get C: down to the 50gb I
wanted; I believe I had to settle for like 75gb/150. There was only 10G on
C:, so I know Partition Magic would have done it.
