Do I need to be root in order to make packages using RPM? I've been trying to
using my normal user account, and if I can do it this way, I can't figure out
how. Any info would be appreciated.

7.0 (iso-2 release) and building the ide-floppy.o module into the kernel
instaed of loading it as a "module" has solved my problems. i can now
successfully read from the ls120

Well, i installed the glibc binaries. just answered yes to everthing
and edited the inittab to "5" and restarted and it works nicely.
