Hi!
Samba in 7.2 is not working with secure kernel since IBCS somplains about
not able to write to some files shortly after starting smb! Many users have
that problem (I found the solution in newsgroups)! It works OK with normal
kernel!

Why are in updates dual versions of same stuff??
Like openssh-2.2 and openssh-2.3? I think previous version can be freely deleted

Hi!
I have tried to "auto" configure ppp dial script.
Script has not created the proper chat script. Telephone number was not included
in chat-ppp0 so I had to manually add it. Also where is support for demand
dialing? I had to manually check the ifup-ppp script to figure out which

Hi!
Changes to services (with drakxservices)
are NOT written if security level is high! I had to change it to medium and

Hi!
Postfix package is STILL missing "rmail" script.
This script is necessary for uucp mail transfers and it is included in source
package of postfix! It should reside in /usr/bin! PLEASE fix that!
I have reported that in 7.1, but it was not
fixed!

Hi!
UUCP is stil not working out of the box, since it
doesn't have privileges to write to /var/log/uucp (even on medium security
level).
I have changed the group to uucp and added rx group
permission to /var/log/uucp and rwx group permission to
/var/log/uucp/*

don't say: "Who cares, use FreeBSD then or

it already is, but we can make it even BETTER with such things.

Hi!
I have asked this once, but no replay come. Come on
ppl, there must be many admins here that do things in text mode and still wish
to use nifty config programs for simple tasks as defining which services should
start etc...

Hi!
I think this would probably be interesting to ppl
on this list also...
Why are all text config tools linked so, that they
need X dependend stuff??? It is no use if I run drakxconfig and it want's some X
stuff installed. Then I have to install almost 50% of X files to get it
working..

Hi!
I had problems with POP clients that tried to

server" if it was setup with "Leave messages on server" it just hanged on
"Retrieving messages list...".

I think this is because the default 4.0.1 server DOESN'T support NVidia GTS

/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/si but the file is actually sl not si! Is

In 7.1 uucp still doesn't work out of the box, since /var/log/uucp is

It should be set to root.uucp and 770!
