well, are you sure you have a good mirror? could you look at what's wrong using the console on ctrl-alt-f2 ? I see you're checking the files now. I am in the middle of updating many of the RPMs from Cassini, and it is time for sleep, so will catch the ctrl+alt+f2 messages in the morning

For someone who doesn't know how to do this, your gunna have to explain step-by-step. Is this a selection on the main screen now?? no, all auto. the ramdisk=32000 option does not use any memory, it just fixes the maximum size of the ramdisk. The kernel does the rest.
