None of the December revisions has worked properly ... I see there's a new kdebase package today but haven't got around to trying it yet. Darn job doesn't allow me time to play with Cooker!

It appears to be a spelling error. The actual package is cdparanoia-IIIa9.7-5mdk. Install kdebase using --nodeps if you have cdparanoia already installed. Though I'm not sure why this package should be needed for KDE.

I thought I was the only one getting these errors. Since I've seen no one else mention this problem I thought there might have been a problem with one of the packages I've installed. Also, has anyone else been getting the occassional restorekdemimetypes errors regarding scipts being too long? I'v

I don't understand the logic to seeing a screen full of "cannot get shared lock" messages everytime you do an upgrade of multiple packages. Does the user need to see this for instance while upgrading several KDE packages via "rpm -Uvh kde*" ? What purpose would this serve ?

In regards to the daemon dying. I've had the same experience with xfs (from both the 3.3.6 and 4.0 XFree86 packages) and any initscripts upgrade to the 5 or greater version. When I go back to the 4.97 initscripts everthing (xfs) and X both work fine. I've tried several (limited) things and cannot
