Isn't this redundant and error-prone ?
I think, for DDNS to work correctly with dhcp3/bind8,9 (for example),
you will want HOSTNAME=silbermann, DOMAINNAME=snv.jussieu.fr
Actually
HOSTNAME=silbermann.snv.jussieu.fr
DOMAINNAME=snv.jussieu.fr
Isn't this redundant and error-prone ?
Said in another manner, what should hostname returns ? short or fully
qualified domain name ?

I don't know if this has already been posted (if it has, I haven't seen

Hi!
When I login with telnet/ssh/console, I get this message displayed:

This is with msec-0.16-3mdk.i586.rpm

I figured out, why this error message happens:
/etc/profile.d/msec.sh:. /etc/sysconfig/msec
/etc/profile.d/msec.csh:if ( -r /etc/sysconfig/msec ) then
/etc/profile.d/msec.csh:eval `sed -n 's/^\([^#]*\)=\([^#]*\)/set \1=\2;/p'
/etc/sysconfig/msec`
