Just a question about building rpm from mixed archives (sources and
binaries) : do i leave the original archive untouched, thus making
source RPM bigger, or do i modify original archive to remove them ?

I also had internal compiler errors until I disabled the apm in the
kernel.

I had that problem a long time ago while building KDE source about a year ago. The
reaon it was happening was being in my kernel, I had set my processor to a Pentium
II class, when my system was a K6-300... I set it to Pentium level and I have never
seen those problems again! I now have a K6-2-300
