Oops, I read your mail too, too quickly.
I have test before and after 'modprobe r128', after install your r128.o in
good place !!
The two solution work good, I don't if there are a big difference of
performance.
The same modules are load since my bad first mail.

I installed my ppc with only the first cd, I choose to install samba but it
wouldn't start because libattr.so is missing.
On my x86 box I have:
[root@virgo perlpgrpm]# rpm -qf /lib/libattr.so.1
libattr1-2.0.1-1mdk
Can you fix before last release ?
Thanks.

Stew,
To confirm I am not using the old stuff I reformatted
the partitions I am installing into and did a clean
install from the ISO. (Went in by hand a removed
BootX, Linux Kernals folder, extension, and
preference)
There isn't a trace on my system now of the earlier
beta but still have the sa

Stew,
The problem occurs when you respond "yes" to the
question "Do you want to start the connection at
boot?" in the installer. This question pops up right
after it asks you about static or DHCP on the
interfaces it found. (at least it does on the 'expert'
install).
If you reinstall, and choose
Can people who have problems with KDM and an ATI Rage 128 card can test
the following driver:
https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/~baudens/ppc/r128_drv.o
It solves the problem on my computers but I have not enought machines
to be sure the problem is really solved.
So to test, as root please do:
cd /u
Perhaps the boot scripts think PPPoE or something like that should be
started?
