Ok,
I have a Xircom Rex Organizer, which can be used as a pcmcia card to synch
it. But when I try to use it, the system complains about not being able to
find the module memory_cs.o. Now I have looked for this module, and it
isn't in the 2.4.18 kernel, or anywhere else on the system. But it IS

Whenever I see directions on this list for mounting the boot partition when booting
into rescue,
they always say to do a:mount /dev/hdxx /mnt/disk.
But both on my tower and now on the PB, in order to mount the disk, I have to do a:
mount /dev/dhxx /mnt/mnt/disk (note the /mnt/mnt/)
This is
Ti Powerbook G4/550 256meg 8.2b2 (3/21 isos) X4.2.0
Used install-aty128fb and installation proceded normally until the bootloader screen.
The install errored out with a dialog
reporting an error but with no explaination. Clicking OK just brought me back to the
bootloader set up screen whic

Thanks for the replay, I will try that. How come that I cant run the gui
installer? I know that its not so important since its just the installer,
but I'm curious.
As for the partitioning, how do I use only one partition?
And what should I do if it hangs at eth0? Can I remove it? And if so how?

Something wrong with this one?
libstdc++-compat-2.95.3-5mdk.ppc.rpm

compat-libstdc++-2.95-2.1a.ppc.rpm
kde3? (any ideas were to find ppc rpms)?
the libstdc++ i usually have to get from yellowdog. I think its about a
netscape dependancy.
It was crucial in 8.0 for a few things, seem like I have had less need for it
with the 8.2 betas.

Has anyone been able to install 8.2 beta 2 on a PowerMac 867? I have one
with 640MB of Ram, Sony built in CD-RW, Airport card, Geforce3 and a LG 19"
915+ monitor, one 80GB drive with two partitions one with OS X and one that
I use for Mandrake.
The only installer that I can run is "install-text",
