Hi,
I'm sleep deprived too ;-). My case is worse though.
I have a new powerbook, I have installed the benH kernel
(2.4.19rc3-ben0 from the binary though): when I close the lid
it seems to put the machine to sleep (although the "breathing
light" does not go on).. when I open the lid the machine s
Well, I built the linuxppc kernel and the benH kernel (2.4.19-rc3)
from scratch and both put the system into sleep mode and, more
importantly, wake up properly after I open the lid. Even in KDE3
where it wasn't working before (it always worked on the console
before). I'm not sure what the proble

Yes. Does everything work all the time? - No, it's cooker.

We'll, tried that before and everything just went down...
And since then I haven't been able to sort out enough dependencies to
get it working...
Is everything in cooker so that I can do a minimal install and just

Ian White had a good suggestion, to post a list of the RPM's that are
currently NOT building, in case any of you are bored and care to take a
crack at them. I haven't really reviewed them, and many of them are
probably just lacking requires etc. since the list is at 141 now, and I
had it down to

With the Debian installer you can do something like this:
Create a 50 MB HFS partion (not HFS+!).
Download the installer (yaboot, a kernel and a ramdisk) and put it on
the partion.
Put fake Finder, System and MacOS ROM files on the disk so MacOS thinks
it's a real system folder.

Hi all,
Since I've bought my iBook, I wanted to upgrade to cooker ppc (as I do
it on my pc).
My first attempts resulted in a severe crash of the computer (mainly
because updating glibc from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5 seems to break the install).
I tried again yesterday, but was able to rescue a little bit th
