Hello everyone
I have a question about cooking outdoors. I know how to put the charcoal in the
grill, light the charcoal, and that is it. Technically I know how to cook the
meat but telling someone else to do it though. Things that I cook on the grill
are chicken, Hamburgers, steak, and hotdogs
Hi List,
Do you use the whole envelope to cook chicken in the plastic bag?

Hi Becky this is Teresa. When we do shake and bake we have like four drumsticks
two piece. And we do use the whole envelope for shake and bake because if you
are using chicken you have to throw it away after that I hope this helps and
also it depends on how much chicken you are using. And it see
You empty the envelope into the plastic bag, rinse the chicken, put the
pieces into the bag one or two at a time, shake to coat, then bake them.

Hi Theresa,
I like to grill as well, but I fear the grill, so I rather have my husband do
it. I am blind and he is not.
So that makes more sense to me. Not that blind folks can't do it, I just rather
not because well I am afraid of either burning the food, myself or burning down
the house, LOL

The current advice from the CDC and all the cooking magazines is not
to rinse the checken. Rinsing under running water, they say, spreads
the bacteria around and doesn't help eliminate it. The current
recommendation is simply to rely on the heat of cooking to
eliminate/kill the bacteria.

I was afraid of grilling until I did it.
A thermometer is so useful.
Try the chicken boneless breast 5 minutes per side and check.
Burgers tend to be about 6 min per side and steak about 7.
This is all depending on cut, thickness and your own taste.
A thermometer will tell you when it is safe to ea
Dale also advocates for using a grilling basket to cook things so it's far
easier to flip things on the grill. That way you've got one handle to mess with
that flips everything you have grilling at the moment.

With the cooking basket how wide is it because I have seen some and it is
mainly for fish. I would like one that is big enough to fit hamburgers and
hotdogs first then cook at least two steaks! LOL

I can coat between 9 and 10 drumsticks with 1 envelope of coating mix.

The fish baskets work well for steaks, although they aren't necessary. If
you have one of those double spatulas, it works perfectly for steaks. As
for burgers, depending on their size, you can put 4 to 6 in the basket. Hot
dogs? Maybe a dozen or so.

Hello -
I have 2 baskets for the grill.
The first one is closed with two sides and it can be flipped without getting
close to the heat because It has a long handle.
The second one is just like a square bowl with holes in it. I use this one
to grill vegetables.
It takes a little time but touch
The I IGrill works well becaus you can use th iPhone to check the temperature
of your meat without touching it.

I did that too with a lot of pieces of cut up chicken.
I'm glad I only used one envelope and one bag.
One time when I was younger, I dumped it all over the chicken and what a
mess.
LOL!

What does that have to do with outdoor cooking or grilling?

I suppose I shouldn't reply to this message; however, the baskets are at least
a foot wide. I have two; however, it's been years since I have used them.
