BRAN MUFFINS
1 cup bran
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup milk or buttermilk
3 tablespoons molasses
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup raisins or Craisins (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F.

3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening (butter)
