Yeah, the imap error logs aren't much help.
If you're using PAM, then check the auth logs.
Also, if you're using secure login, it never worked for me. But it does
with Mail that comes with OSX, so I think it's an Entourage problem. In
fact, test with OSX Mail, see if you get the same result.

You should attach to the process as root, or replace the binary with a
script along the lines of:

but notice that courier is now at 0.40.0. Since version upgrades on courier
are generally a Good Thing in my experience, I will upgrade.
