Looks interesting to do 'X tricks'. REMARKABLE OBSERVATION: It looks like the AltGr key is mapped well to the keyboard. Shift-key combinations work well for a Spanish keyboard. IMPORTANT: The command "xmodmap -pk" shows that there is NO third definition -so no definition for usage of AltGr key-

It is true what Franz says: applying another X-Window System Package maps the right keyboard (Spanish in my case). So, by logical thinking you may say that Xfree86 somehow gives a keyboard mapping to CDE that is different from what it should be. Unfortunately my time right now is restricted on

Hi Takuma, I tried Xterm and there is works OK. As I read the documentation on the usage of xdmcp to start a CDE environment, changing the XF86Config should be working, however I didn't find how to do it in the case of a Spanish keyboard. What is the auto detection option you are talking about

Hi all, Having downloaded the latest version of XFree86, I encounter a problem using altGR on a Spanish keyboard. I searched and I searched and saw many articles of people with the same question from Denmark, Norway, Germany, UK and other countries, and fixes with Xmodmaps, xkeycaps, XF86Config,
