But that's not what we are discussing. Look at the subject, this is
about OpenCL and the situation is clear, for OpenCL you need the
proprietary driver for AMD
Before the day ends, which keys are used ?

I think the best is to type L for lighttable or D for darktable, etc.

The original subject was about being able to *not* use the proprietary
drivers for AMD, but just a few libraries extracted from the package.
It worked like a charm for me on the latest Ubuntu: open source drivers on
the latest kernel 4.11 RC!
Nvidia doesn't even support this kernel right now afai

You're kidding right, a few libraries from the proprietary AMDGPU-PRO
driver, why are you saying this is

Hello,
Would you be able to tell me how you unpacked the rpm files?
I've been unsuccessful with rpm2cpio. I've also tried file-roller. Both
fail.
Thanks

I tried this, but a "found strange path opencl" error pops up when I
launch darktable. The steps I took:
1. I extracted all the AMDGPU-PRO rpms to ~/opt/.
2. Then, as root, I moved the ~/opt/amdgpu-pro/ folder to /opt/amdgpu-pro/
3. Next I ran $LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/amdgpu-pro/lib64

As explained in the subject, my problem is that my camera is not fully
supported: noise profile and custom matrix are not present in darktable
database.
I'm interested in "noise profiling" my camera: is this guide (
http://www.darktable.org/2012/12/profiling-sensor-and-photon-noise/) still
valid? O
