that DT is a great editing program. It is not such a great cataloging
program. I would copy the images from the SD card to a suitable folder on
your computer without involving DT. I would then open DT and use the impor

an earlier posting) I now find that DT imports more images than there
are on my SD card. The camera tells me my card has 52 images; Windows
tells me my card has 52 images. Lightroom finds and imports 52 images.

I don't profess to be an expert on any of this and know that there are
always many ways to do things but the way I get my images into darktable
is:-
Insert SD card into PC
Move the RAW image files to a //WIP/ directory on my HDD using a GUI
file manager
Start darktable
Use GUI file manager to drag
