Seems like nobody knows why. Reposting 3 times with the same attachments
won't help... But if you think it's an error in dt then you could file a
bug report.

Open a cmd-prompt (START, then type 'cmd'). 'cd' into the darktable program
directory. run darktable with 'darktable -d'. That should produce
debug-output which the experts here might be able to read, understand and
comment on.

You need to be a bit more specific about your exact needs to get a clear
answer.
- Do you just want to play music and slides? Then start your favorite music
player, let it play some playlist, background it and start DTs or any other
slide show.
- Do you want sound and slides to be synced? You could
If you need some package (such as libjpeg) to compile a source (such as
darktable), then you need to install the respective "developer" version of
libjpeg. I.e. the headers of the library which darktable requires. A quick
search on [1] (not sure if your system uses Debian though) reveals that for

Only loosely related but -- with such requirem
I'm using both DT and DK on Linux and don't import/export. Both programs
have access to the folder structure that holds my photos and tagging in one
program is seamlessly picked up by the other. I use sidecars for RAW
images, obviously.

Would an Appimage be an option for the OP? Maybe worth a try:

Now that's a good example of thread-hijacking :)
I believe the problem is a combination of gmail and mlmmj; also indicated
by the occasional mail from mlmmj saying that there were bounces but all is
abck to normal now: http://robbat2.livejournal.com/241253.html

Hi group,
I recently upgraded to F25 and with it to DT 2.2.3. Since then I have an
issue that the drop-downs (GTK ComboBox?) isn't wide enough, see this:

Is this my stupidity or should I file a bug?
Thx a lot,

Yes, but a gnome terminal doesn't, usually, require colour correction, IMHO
:) But when I buy a 4K Adobe-RGB monitor I'd expect to work with true
colours ;)

Hi group,
To my defense, I did try to Google - without finding any recent info... Does
Darktable nowadays support dual-monitors, with color-correction?
I'm about to buy a new laptop and am wondering whether I should rather get a
17" display (Adobe-RGB ) model to do the editing there or invest i
