It's (maybe) related to the new view of tag on collect image (1.4
version)
The serch expend/unxpend parent hierachical tag but never filter tag...
I think you would open a bug

I don't know if this is already known and discussed or if it's only on
my system:
If I delete a just duplicated image and then duplicate again, I get a
black thumbnail.
You should not try to open this. ;-)
To reproduce this the image should have at least one none default module
activated.
