Absolutely, darktable is great. I use "rapid photo downloader" to get photos and videos from my canon 1 dx separated to the correct folders. Then import my raws into Darktable to edit. I then use Darktable to manage my raw folder collections, moving, deleting, rating, applying colour labels and key
