Hi David,
Long time no chat. The Playboy After Dark show was syndicated so the on-air
date
differed depending on the market.
regards,
Marc
I've got an update for 5/28/82. Pete Sears is playing bass on the
Lovelight > JBG, his only time sitting-in with the GD.
Anyone have a current contact address for 1982 caretaker Paul Gibian?
thanks,
Marc

According to former NRPS publicist (Michelle McFee):
Buddy Cage recalls (his memory isn't the best) that
he first sat in during some Bay Area NRPS gigs in
early Nov. 1971. (including 11/6 & 11/7)
The plan was for Garcia and him to both sit in on
pedal steel during the next tour, beginning 11/1
I know a half dozen folks who attended this run and they
all vouch for early & late shows. The only attendee
who sez otherwise is Owsley. I trust the evidence
over Owsley's memory. YMMV

Either Jerry or John Sher was interviewed about this
show. Here is my recollection:
Sher convinced Jerry to do a solo tour following the Dead tour Spring 82.
The 4/10/82 show was a test drive. Jerry, notorious for having stagefright,
was scared shitless at the Capital and insisted on having Jo
